Blondie performed a TV Special for TopPop on 28 August 1978, almost a month before the release of the album!
At the special Debbie Harry and Blondie recorded no less than 7 songs from the album, of which many became big hits, such as: ‘Heart Of Glass’ and ‘Sunday Girl’.
‘Hanging On The Telephone’ was released as a single and reached #20 in the Dutch Top 40 and #5 in the UK.
This song was a cover from the original by The Nerves, an American power pop trio from the 1970’s, based in Los Angeles, featuring guitarist Jack Lee, who wrote the song.
