Debbie Harry / Blondie video time capsule featuring some of the films, tv shows, press and images for the 3 year period of 2022 / 2023 / 2024.
Making these Debbie Harry / Blondie Video Time Capsules has been fun but also quite an intense experience. Most of the press, albums, posters, memorabilia are from my website thebestofblondie.com and have taken me over 35+ years to collect, scan and archive. A lot of the posters have taken days to scan in pieces and stitch together in photoshop and there are literally 100’s of posters in my collection featured in these videos. Some of the footage is from my own recordings and some from youtube.
Each video has taken 2-4 weeks to gather all the material and put together. I’ve done all this in my spare time so please, if you don’t like what I’ve done walk away, please no more negative comments.
I’ve tried to add a lot of stuff but I cannot add everything so please don’t ask me ‘why did you not include this or that.’ I also decided I wanted just one song that defined that era. Again, please don’t question why I chose a certain song or why it was only the one song. I did try experimenting using more than one song but it completely changed the mood and pace of the video. A few examples of my choices: in the 1980 / 1981 / 1982 video I used ‘Call Me’ (12″ Version) because it was their biggest selling single of 1980 and so well known. In the 2022 / 2023 / 2024 video I used ‘Heart Of Glass’ (Crabtree Remix) for the fact it was used in a few campaigns that Debbie was featured in around that time.
