Gucci’s new campaign sees Nan Goldin recreate her iconic images with Debbie Harry

There’s campaigns and there’s campaigns. And Gucci have outdone themselves with this one. In a campaign shot by Nan Goldin, Debbie Harry appears in subtle recreations of Goldin’s most famous photographs, all while wearing outfits from Gucci’s Cruise 2025 collection and clutching the brand’s latest bag, the Gucci Blondie.
Titled We Will Always Have London, the campaign is a love letter to the city where Gucci showed their Cruise 2025 collection in May. London is a location central to Gucci’s mythology, being the city where Guccio Gucci worked as a porter and became fascinated with the luggage of the city’s wealthiest clientele.
In the campaign, we see Debbie Harry sitting in the back of a car, accompanied by her dog and a selection of Gucci Blondies; the image is a subtle nod to one of Goldin’s most famous works, Jimmy Paulette & Misty in a Taxi, NYC from 1991
