Debbie keeps rock & rolling back the years
At the age of 76, Debbie Harry can put pop stars half her age to shame.
The lead singer of Blondie received a standing ovation from fans on stage in Glasgow before even singing a note of X-Offender.
The band kicked off their much anticipated first UK tour in five years at the city’s Hydro.
Debbie put on an energetic two-hour set belting out hits such as Atomic, Hanging on the Telephone, Sunday Girl and Picture This.
As stylish as she was when she first burst on the scene half a century ago, Debbie told the crowd: “This is a long time coming for me. It’s really an honour to be back here and to see all of you.”
This week Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway was shocked at how “amazing” Debbie looks.
Discussing the songstress’s upcoming role in a new film – titled Kepler 62f, Kate, said: “What the heck? She looks amazing.”
Co-host Richard Arnold agreed: “She has ripened beautifully.”
