Debbie Harry was turning some heads at last night’s GQ Gentleman’s Ball in New York – though maybe not for all the right reasons.
The veteran performer, better known by her stage name of Blondie was wearing an incredibly unflattering white bobbed wig.
The washed-out colour did nothing to enhance the singer’s appearance and made her look every day of her 65-years.
Harry was also wearing a dress that was really more suitable for somebody thirty years younger, and thirty pounds lighter.
Low cut and skin tight with a high hemline, the dress did nothing to flatter the petite singer, and the huge white satin sash that tied in a frilly bow on her backside just seemed to accentuate all the wrong body parts.
In a marked contrast to Harry’s lesson in what not to wear, Demi Moore got marks out of ten for her choice of red carpet attire.
The actress, accompanied by husband Ashton Kutcher, turned up at the event, which was held at the Edison Ballroom, wearing a thigh-skimming black number.
The LBD featured a frayed hemline, giving the impression it had been cut short at the last minute.
But of course, the torn-up look was by design rather than DIY tailoring.
The pair, who have endured rumours their marriage is on rocky ground, put on a real show of unity for the night.
At one point, Demi, 47, gazed longingly at her 32-year-old husband as he held her in his arms.
Demi, who has three daughters Rumer, 22, Scout, 19, and Tallulah, 16, recently returned from a ‘spiritual journey’ to Israel with Kutcher, where they visited the Wailing Wall and The Kotel Tunnels.
Last night they turned their attention to raising funds for charities supported by The Gentlemen’s Fund initiative.
One of the organisations participating is DNA, the Demi and Ashton Foundation, which aims to eliminate child sex slavery.
A host of other stars also offered their support, including former Beverly Hills 90210 star Shannen Doherty and pop stars Chris Brown and Jay Sean.
David Arquette, fresh from yet another tell-all interview on Howard Stern’s radio show, also made an appearance.
Nick Cannon turned up without his wife Mariah Carey, who confirmed today that she is expecting their first child.
