If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then Lady GaGa should be feeling pretty flattered right about now – or maybe not.
Debbie Harry seemed to be imitating both Lady GaGa and her earlier self when she showed up at New York’s Fashion Week in a platinum blonde wig at the L.A.M.B catwalk show.
Sporting a sexy floral sleeveless dress underneath a red wrap set off by red sandals, Harry was with friends to see style icon,Gwen Stefani’s fashion brand, L.A.M.B, which means Love, Angel, Music, Baby.
Joining other celebrities at the show including Mel B. and Stefani’s husband, Gavin Rossdale of Bush, the 65-year-old Rapture singer, protected her ‘coiffure’ under an umbrella while walking to her seat.
Backstage she hung out with Stefani and friends.
Known for her dyed platinum blonde hair as frontwoman of the ground-breaking 1980s punk/rock band, Blondie. Among the first to introduce rap songs to the general public, Harry is still going strong and was recently honored with the Icon award at the TV Land Awards earlier this year in the states.
Long before Lady GaGa, Blondie is said to have influenced Madonna as she herself was influenced by The Beatles, Motown and Iggy Pop.
Blondie was formed in 1975 and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. The group has sold 40 million records.
