Blondie’s turned brownie

BLONDIE star Debbie Harry stepped out yesterday as a brownie.

The singer revealed her darker side when she flew into London from Paris.

Debbie walked from her aircraft with her naturally-brown hair tied tightly back in a pony tail.

Curiosity provoked questions. But Debbie insisted: “I’m not saying a word.”

Her boyfriend, guitarist Chris Stein, said enigmatically: “She’s carrying her head in a bag.”

Wig
That was taken to mean she had packed a blonde wig for her stage shows.

Stein added: “She decided to change her image because it had served its purpose. She can now walk around in the streets without everybody recognising her.”
